FOTD: Pink Soft Glam

This is the makeup I wore for my for Birthday in Quarantine. The original outfit I had planned (when I thought I was going to spend it outside) had pink in it, hence the pink theme.  I decided to go for a soft glam look and keep my face fairly matte. I used the NYX "Can't Stop, Won't Stop" line for foundation and concealer and I'm impressed! It blends so well and the coverage is great. I love my Fenty foundation for matte looks but one downside is that you have to work super quickly because it does dry out pretty fast.

FOTD: Hello March

I am continuing my yearly tradition of doing an aqua-colored eye inspired by my birthstone which is the Aquamarine. The Aquamarine stone varies in different shades of blue. For this reason,I chose this pale blue for my look choosing an old NYX pigment I had. I created a halo eye, smoking out the inner and outer corners of my eyes. I felt like this made the light blue really pop.

By the way, this is a milestone birthday for me this year. This year I'm turning the big 3-0. In 29 days to be exact. Ahh!!!!!

I used a L'oreal quad I had in "112 Avante Garde Azure". It looked very pretty in store and had some colors that were perfect for this look. Unfortunately these shadows kind of sucked. They weren't very pigmented and the blendability (is that even a word) was kind of blah. But I managed to work with it.

FOTD: Pretty In Pink

Happy Valentine's Day! I hope your day is full of lots of love. Whether it be from a lover, friend, family or even yourself! Love is love. I wanted to post this yesterday but I had a migraine and you know how that goes. Any bit of brightness is intolerable. I hope you still enjoy this look.

I did a semi cut crease with some smokiness in there. I think this look is playful and sexy. I love cut creases because I have teeny eyes and I can create a larger lid to give the illusion of bigger eyes. Those of you with natural lid space are so lucky! I also want to mention that the ABH shadows I used came from two palettes that I own but they are also available as singles if you wish to purchase them.

FOTD: Rihanna-Inspired Grammys Look

The Grammys aired a couple of days on the 28th and there were a lot of great looks. One of the looks that stood out in particular to me was Rihanna's when she was performing her song with DJ Khaled "Wild Thoughts". She had a beautiful purple eyeshadow that complemented her dress beautifully. According to her makeup artist, Rihanna was wearing products from her Fenty Beauty line that have not been released. I cannot wait to see what she has up her sleeve.

I used some shadows from MAC to recreate this look the best way I can. For my cheeks and lips, I applied a creamy blush to add a dewy look. Overall, I loved recreating this look. The colors were very pretty and it was really easy to execute. Would definitely wear this out.

My latest look is a cranberry-colored halo eye. Most of the eyeshadows are from my muvh loved Renaissance palette. I also got to try one of my Supernova shadows that I purchased from Colourpop. The formula for the Supernova shadows are very similar to the Stila Magnificent Metals, for a third os the price!

Winter Is Coming FOTD

I'm late to the party but I have recently started watching Game of Thrones and I am obsessed! It's so good! I used one of the quotes of the series to name this Winter-inspired look. I mixed a couple of blues to create the color on my lid and kept my crease warm. I liked how the contrast looked and makes the look more wearable. Click for more photos!

Aquamarine EOTD

There's something about blue eye makeup that can be alluring yet intimidating. Maybe because blue has such a bad rep for being tacky. But I think, blue can be worn beautifully and I think it adds a certain kind of freshness to looks. I did this look because I like to do one every year since Aquamarine is my birthstone. I used an eyeliner that I had gotten a while back in an Ipsy bag and I really liked it. It's by Tini Beauty in the shade "Blue Hawaiian". It was super pigmented and smooth to apply. I can't wait to use it again.

I've been searching for the perfect pumpkin-colored lipstick and I came across this one by Limecrime. I'll admit that I was hesitant to purchase due to the controversy behind the Limecrime brand but it seems that they are improving on some of the areas that needed work.

I had one of those days where I just wanted to be unproductive and binge on Flaming Hot Cheetos while watching bad tv. That day, the show of choice was Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Yeah, I know. SVU wasn't on and I couldn't find anything else to watch. Anyway, the episode was really dumb but I was really feeling Kourtney's (who's probably my fave) makeup.

Springtime means new color palettes get to be added into makeup. And also new collections being debuted. Including new products by Colourpop Cosmetics and Anastasia Beverly Hills, which are the main focus for this look. 

FOTD: Not Your Average V-Day Look

Berries and purples substitute reds and pinks for this Valentine's Day look.  I did a "sandwich eye" using shadows from the Urban Decay Vice 4 palette. I was going to do a purple lip but a berry lip won out in the end.  I have worn this lip a bunch of times, I just love how it looks! I included a picture with the purple lip so you can see how that looks.

Dark, Sultry FOTD

Hello everyone! Today's post features a look that is fairly simple but great for the Fall season. I did a soft, brown smokey eye and paired it with a brown lip. I wanted to keep my eyes looking bright so I skipped the eyeliner and rounded out the eye shadow in the outer corner of my eyes. This helps in keeping your eyes look bigger.

New York Mets Inspired Makeup

Congratulations to the New York Mets for winning the National League Division Series and going on to the next round which is the National League Championship Series. I am incredibly psyched to be able to witness this opportunity because the last time this happened was back in 2006.

Fresh Limeade FOTD

I had purchased the Sephora Colorful Shadow and Liner in a new shade they had available called "Fresh Limeade". I've been buying too many neutral shadows so this was a nice change. I really like the formula of this pencil. It is similar to the NYX Jumbo Pencils. It goes on thick but it is also really flexible in terms of spreading it on your eyelid. I applied it directly to the lid and used a flat synthetic brush to spread it out on my eyelid. The color payoff is amazing. Very nice and bright. This would also make a great base for an eye shadow because it does not budge at all.

"Why Don't You Love Me" is one of my favorite videos by Beyonce. I love the retro style and clothes and the makeup was just incredible. I also love that little cheeky short where she's dusting her Grammys.

Spring & Prom FOTD

Here is a look featuring my favorite color: purple! It feels like ages since I've done an eye look with purple. Paired with a pink lip, this is a lovely look for Spring and even for prom. Also, purple really brings out the best in brown eyes. Darker-skinned beauties can wear this look with a deeper pink and look stunning. Tribal-Inspired Makeup FOTD

Festival season has inspired me to create this tribal-inspired look. I like this look a lot for a music festival due to the whimsical use and blending of different eyeshadows. . This look is fairly simple if you have patience for blending to prevent the shadows from looking muddy. I used a white liquid eyeliner for the lip and face decorations.

Pretty in Pastels FOTD
