Don't you just love Freida Pinto? She's just so beautiful. And I love her style of wearing clothes too. I happened to come across this look while browsing and it's a look that she wore to Cannes last month. Since she is one of the current faces of Loreal, she was promoting the brand as well with this look.

This is a perfect look for the summertime. It is super easy to do and looks great on women of color. It can be taken from day to night just by switching the lip color. The bronzy eye with the bold pink was genius especially paired with the lime green dress she had on.

Unfortunately I didn't film a tutorial for this look. It's been a while but as soon as I have more space in my schedule, I will film some.

Rocking Neon OOTD

I wore this to a barbecue last Saturday. I wore a neon burnout top with black and white print shorts. What would make the neon stand out even more? Wearing a coral bandeau underneath.

I'm trying to take my OOTD pictures outdoors more. Usually, I take them before I head out but the change in backgrounds make a big difference.

Friday night I went to see Swan Lake performed by the Australian ballet in Lincoln Center. I have always wanted to see one because I used to want to be a ballerina when I was a little girl. I'm pretty sure a lot of women can relate to my childhood dream.

I wore a tulle skirt, so cliche I know. But I wanted to own a tulle skirt ever since I watched my first episode of 'Sex and The City" with SJP in the opening credits with that awesome outfit. One of the most iconic outfits ever.

I bought my tulle skirt in H&M last Winter during the Holidays. And it hung in my closet all those months, just waiting to be worn. I can't wait to wear it again, more casually for the next time.

Tutorial: Nude and Neon Half-Moon Manicure

Neon is a trend that is very big for the Spring and Summer for 2012. A great way to wear neon is to pair it with nude or neutral clothing. I decided to apply this to my nails. I've been wanting to do a half-moon design on my nails and by pairing a neon color with a nude, it would make the design stand out a lot.

What I used:

OPI Ridge Filler base coat, OPI "Did You Ear About Van Gogh", LA Girls Disco Brites "Disco Diva", Seche Vite top coat and reinforcements for looseleaf paper

The Process:
After applying my base coat, I applied "Disco Diva" (plus: this nail polish glows under a blacklight!) to my nails. Then I waited until my nails were COMPLETELY dry then I applied the reinforcements to my nails.

I painted "Did you hear about Van Gogh over the reinforcements and waited until the color was partially dry before carefully removing them. Then I applied my top coat and finito!
