Blue Heaven Kajal Eyeliner Review + Giveaway [Closed]

Jul 21, 2011

I have always wanted to try kajal eyeliner because it always looks so black and makes the eyes of Indian women look so sexy and exotic. I have a small obsession with Indian women, I find them so beautiful and interesting to look at.

My friend had told that there was a place where they sell kajal eyeliner in my neighborhood and I was so excited. I was even more excited because it was where I usually go to thread my eyebrows. So when I went to get my eyebrows threaded, I bought one. It was a steal at two dollars.

As you can see it is really small, the shape of it is quite different from any other liner I have ever used. But I like the packaging and I really like that the cap twists off so it's less likely to fall off, which is something that really annoys me when it happens.

When I swatched it, I was in awe by how black it looked. I was so excited to try it. The application was really smooth. It glided on easily with no need to warm it up with my fingertips. This is especially good for smokey looks because it can easily be worked with a sponge tipped eyebrush or q tip. And it lasted all day! I wore it to work and it stayed put for 8 hours with very little smudging.

The only complaint is the limited availability of this product. But so you guys can try it out for yourselves, I am giving away FIVE eyeliners to five of my readers. All you have to do is follow my blog and comment this post with the words "Enter Me!" and include your email with your comment. This giveaway ends at 11:59 pm on July 28, 2011.Good Luck!

MAC Select Cover-Up Concealer Review

MAC Select Cover-Up in NW35
I was running low on my beloved MAC Select Moisture Cover concealer so I went to the MAC counter in Macy's to purchase a new tube but when I got there I decided to try a new formula। So I decided to try the Select Cover-Up and I ended up really liking it। One thing I like is that it comes in a tube, so you have product control and it's more hygienic than the doe foot applicator from the Select Moisture Cover formula. I like that it feels a lot lighter and it blends very nicely. It doesn't give really heavy coverage but that's not an issue for me. My main use of concealer is for my under eye circles and I liked that it did the job without creasing. It's been pretty hot out here so the fact that it remains intact in heat (after setting with powder) is mighty impressive.

In this photo, I'm wearing the concealer with just tinted moisturizer as a base, it looks really natural and light

To Sum It All Up:

Pros: feels lightweight, blends nicely, convenient packaging, doesn't crease or look "cakey"
Cons: not ideal for those seeking heavy coverage
