Spring & Prom FOTD

Apr 23, 2015

my best prom queen smile ;)

Here is a look featuring my favorite color: purple! It feels like ages since I've done an eye look with purple. Paired with a pink lip, this is a lovely look for Spring and even for prom. Also, purple really brings out the best in brown eyes. Darker-skinned beauties can wear this look with a deeper pink and look stunning. Keep reading for tips on wearing bright-colored eyes and to view more pictures.

Be sure to use a white base or a base the same color of your eye shadow to get the biggest impact with your color. Maybelline Color Tattoo eyeshadows ( a dupe for MAC Paint Pots) come in a variety of colors and have great staying power. A great, white base to use is NYX Jumbo Pencil in "Milk". It's super cheap too! Be sure to use a primer underneath to prevent creasing.

Using a patting motion with your brush does wonders. It increases pigmentation and doesn't wash out the color. So avoid using back and forth swiping motions.
