OOTD: Props To My Crop

Feb 22, 2011

Another corny blog post name but I really do have to give props to the crop top in my OOTD. I wore outfit this out last Friday to a restaurant/bar. My friend was celebrating her birthday there and I didn't want to be too overdressed. I got a whole bunch of compliments on the top I wore. it was a loose fitting crop top made out of a silky material. I got it at H&M. I liked the bold print and thought it would be a nice break from solid colors, which I tend to wear a lot. I hardly wear prints.

I didn't get to take a full length but I wore my outfit with the shoes pictured above. Crop tops are a must for Spring, they can be worn in so many different ways and are great for casual or dressier occasions. Expect toi see more OOTD posts with them!

Mini Purse Haul + My Eyeko Twitter Prize

Feb 20, 2011

I did some shopping for Spring and this is the first of many hauls that I'll be doing. I'll be doing a video on all my purchases once I'm done. This first post is on some purses that I purchased. I am also including some goodies I won from Eyeko on Twitter. they had a contest where you had to name your guilty celebrity crush and my answer was Gregory Peck. He was just so refined and handsome and I love him as Atticus Finch in "To Kill A Mockingbird".

Here are the purses as I purchased as well as a necklace and brush holder..
orange purse- H&M
clutch with crystals- Kollares

orange brush holder-F21
necklace-F21

I got this clutch at this store that I love called Kollares. It is located in Uptown, Manhattan in 207 st. This is where I get my shoe fix at because they always have a nice selection. They also have really nice purses and I purchased this little clutch because all purses were 20% off. And I can never turn down a sale. I find this clutch to be quite unique and can't wait to accessorise with it during a night out.

The purpke ourse has a long strap so it's good for everyday use. I like colored bags because they add a pop of color since I wear neautral colors most of the time. I needed a brush holder so I got this one at Forever 21 and I think it's so cute!
And here is what I won from Eyeko..
liptastik glossy lip pen(shade name not enclosed), Magic Bronzer Brush in "Miami", and gold charm necklace

swatch of Liptastik pen (no flash)..it's a red-orange color.

I havne't tried out my goodies yet but I can't wait to do so. I know the lip pen smells yummy because when I swatched it, I got a hint of the scent. And I think the necklace is so cute!

Spring 2011 Trends

Feb 10, 2011

So I'm finally back from my short hiatus! I haven't been blogging regularly because my camera got messed up and also from pure laziness. Shame on me! But I finally got a new camera which I LOVE so I'm back in action! Tomorrow I'll have a bunch of V-Day inspired stuff up for you guys so stay tuned!

With the help of Polyvore, I'm doing a post on the Spring trends of 2011. As usual we have the nautical trend making its regular appearance. Expect to see a lot of stripes mixed in with brown accessories.

One thing I'm excited for is the comeback of the seventies. Fashion wise, the seventies is one of my favorite decades. The glamour and the clothes were always so great fitting. There was a great emphasis on curves in that era. Flares are so hot for Spring, a nice break from skinny jeans. They would look great with a sheer, flowy blouse, platform shoes and oversize sunglasses.

Lace is another trend that's big this year, especially in blush colors. Be a little daring and mix and match several lace pieces.

So here are three main trends for Spring 2011, enjoy!
