Pantone has named Radiant Orchid to be the Color of The Year for 2014. You do not know how excited I am because purple (all shades of it) is my favorite color! This is a great color to have fun with! Especially with lipsticks, because you all know that I am a lipstick junkie :). This week I will be doing posts on Radiant Orchid and products that I love with this shade. Also, stay tuned for a makeup look!

New Year's Eve OOTD

This is what I wore for New Year's Eve. I had originally wanted to wear this sequined romper that I had purchased from Tobi, but that didn't work out. So I dug these shorts out of my closet (last seen in this post) and paired it with this Philip Lim top I had been hoarding. I love when I pull off last minute outfits (I literally put this on about an hour before the New Year). And I still managed to coordinate with Jeremy, as I originally had planned. Whoop Whoop!

Celeb Inspired OOTD: Kendall Jenner

I loved this outfit that Kendall Jenner had on. The sweater and the printed pants is a fresh look for the winter season. I decided to wear an outfit inspired by this look to a holiday mixer.

I went for a paisley print on my pants since I'm not a fan of plaid. I got these at Forever 21 for less than $20.00! This whole outfit is a steal, actually. I love the loose fit of the pants, they're so comfy and I had room to wear leggings under since it was kind of chilly out. The pants are no longer available, but I provided links for similar styles under the photos.

Review: Hydrating Facial Wrap

I was given a chance to review an item from My Spa Life. It's a site that has a variety of skin care products from tanning towels to face masks and wraps.

I chose to review a facial wrap because I have never tried one before. I usually use face masks. The one I chose hydrates your skin and it contains volcanic ash which is great for my combination skin. I have been suffering from stress-induced breakouts lately as well *sighs*.

I looked CRAZYYYYY

The wrap was fairly easy to use. You have to press it a few times to distribute the product evenly before opening the package. I also ran the packet under hot water for a few minutes because I hate the feeling of cold products on my face. Then I applied and smoothed the mask over my face. I left it on for twenty minutes, while watching Love and Hip Hop. Is Peter Gunz a dirtbag or what????

I did like using the wrap because it is neater to use and you don't have to struggle with washing your face like you do with a regular face mask. I just threw the wrap away when I was done and rubbed the remaining residue on my face like the instructions recommended.

I would recommend that you try out the wrap. My items came timely, I didn't have to wait long to receive them and the prices are affordable.

Instagram is one of the greatest things to happen for the beauty industry. I have discovered so many amazing makeup artists and got to know different brands on it. One of these brands is Dose of Colors. I have seen their lip glosses all over my Instagram feed and have been anxious to try them.

I got two shades "Purple Fusion" and "Toxic" (I love purple lip products). I was amazed by the customer service, I received my items two days later!

Purple Fusion is a vibrant, purple color. Out of the two, this is the one that was more tricky to apply. I needed to work with it a little to make sure the color applied evenly, about two coats did the trick. I love the formula, it's smooth and not sticky at all. The pigmentation is amazing for a gloss. It's like a liquid lipstick in a way.

Toxic is a deep, plum color. The application was amazing. One coat, and my lips were fully covered. The application was even and once again the formula was creamy, smooth and not sticky at all. I am in love with these glosses! The pigmentation is incredible!

The glosses retail for 15.00 USD, which is a little bit on the pricey side. I do think they're worth the price, the product is of very high quality and I was not disappointed. I was also very pleased with how quick I got my order. And women of color, fear not! These lip glosses are super pigmented, even for us with more pigmented lips.
